Are you a money victim? March 29, 2009

It is easy to feel like a victim of the problems of the world economic situation. Many people are becoming money victims. People are believing there is no money or opportunities and the best thing is to not do anything and “wait” for things to get better.
We can blame the governments or our circumstances. We may be complaining that there is not enough money, no jobs, no future or some other thing.
Blaming and complaining are like viruses of the mind. When we blame or complain we actually push opportunities away from us. Blaming and complaining can cover up deeper beliefs of feeling like a failure or feeling like a victim to life.
There are two economies – “the economy” and “my economy”. I can take charge of my economy by taking responsibility for how I think, feel and act.
For the next week make a commitment to not complain or blame anyone or the circumstances you find yourself in. This is a daily practice and it is not easy to do. However, try it for a week and then check with yourself as to how feel from this change of behaviour. You will probably feel better and in more control of your life. You may even begin to attract new opportunities into your life despite the economy out there.
