Going the extra mile is a phrase used so often and really how many people apply this rule in order to not only excel in their field but also add that extra service or, if you will, sacrifice some of their energy to add value to others.

I write from a Law of Attraction and resonance standpoint and I know that when one takes the extra effort to go beyond the norm to deliver a service or a result it creates a form of unconditional giving.

Giving is a powerful universal vibration and I believe that going the extra mile, if applied with the right attitude, will create an attraction vacuum to attract clients or people to whatever you are offering to the market. This rule can be applied beyond business to one´s family, group of friends or wherever there is an interaction with people where you have the opportunity to give that little extra.

Applying this idea is not about busting a gut to be different or unique, it is comming from a sincere wilingness to give that extra service  -  like making that courtesy call to an old client or sending a thank you card to a client who has just purchased your products.

Think about how you can go the extra mile and add that new edge that will set up the attraction of goodwill from others.

As we move into a new year in 2009, is there a way out of the doom and gloom of the economic prospects we all keep hearing about in the media and the people around us?

The general belief from people in many different countries is that this year is going to be a a very challenging year. This collective belief breeds so much uncertainty and many millions of people will become paralysed by holding such thoughts.

Thoughts, if repeated over and over again become beliefs. The beliefs we hold about the world we perceive become our truth. We have individual beliefs and collective beliefs. We have community beliefs and national beliefs.

Many of these beliefs that we have picked up along the way actually do not support us and keep us stuck in fear and uncertainty.

So if everyone agrees to buy into the belief that there is going to be lack and hardship then that will become the perfect manifestation.

I personally believe that…

” a crisis for the masses is an opportunity for the individual”

I guess that is a belief and I quite like it and it happens to be my truth as I have entertained this line of thinking  for many years.

OK. Things are tough out there and many people and businesses are struggling and new solutions are urgently needed.

The first thing is to accept this. The second thing is to take control of your own thoughts, beliefs and attitude. Why?

Because these are in your control.

The economy, the banking system and what is communicated in the news is not in your control.

We are entering into a period where each person has the opportunity to take charge of the way he or she thinks, believes and acts.

Mental attitude is going to be king in these challenging times.

Here are some suggested simple steps to help you wade through the bad news we keep hearing and seeing daily..

- Reduce or stop watching the news

- Refrain from joining in with doom and gloom stories of where the world is heading

- Become aware of the inner conversations with your self and when negative thoughts arise flip switch to finding ways to feel good and find something inspiring to do.

- Find ways to give to and uplift others. Unconditional giving moves you beyond your ego survival to deeper feelings of abundance and well being.

- Read inspiring books to uplift the soul

- Take time out and enjoy nature

- smile alot

- Give thanks daily for what you do have – gratitude changes attitude

I could go on and on and I am sure you have got the point from this article.

Consider this message as a trigger to shift or maintain your upbeat mental attitude as we move swiftly into 2009.
