Law of attraction is all about vibration April 25, 2008

The heart of the Law of Attraction is about cultivating your vibration or the way you feel about what it is you wish to bring into your life.

Think about a plant. Over time the plant starts as a seed and needs the right environment in order to grow and become strong enough to flourish. This is the same with working on changing your vibration say around money or health.

If you take for example money, your vibration around money in words and feelings terms is such that you may say “there is never enough money to go around” or ” I can never get out of debt”. When we continue to say these things to ourselves and to others we perpetuate the vibration of lack and so the law of attraction will deliver more of the same vibration.

What needs to happen is to switch the vibration to feelings of abundance and plenty. Like the plant this switch and cultivation of the vibration is going to need time and attention and support to make this a reality. This is not a quick fix solution to instantly manifest a ton of money as you may have read in some of the more ambitious books about manifestation and personal growth.

Things take time to form and changing your vibration about money or health is an ongoing and responsible habit which needs your willingness to commit to the process and take on new behaviours and actions to change your life´s experiences.

We live in a vibrational universe which means every thing we see and even our thoughts have vibrational qualities. Our job is to become deliberate changers of our vibrational relationship with money, health and relationships and so on.

Law of attraction works with children April 21, 2008

As adults we want to know the mechanics of how the law of attraction works and can end up complicating the theme. Teaching this stuff to kids does not require an explanation of the law. We simply have to be examples for our children by the way we use our words.

As a child, how many times did you hear the words “no” or “don´t”? Probably many hundreds of thousands of times and so when you reached the age of 16 you were self critical of yourself because you were filled with “don´t” and “no” words and thousands memories of these.

The Law of Attraction works with children by selecting the right kind of words to get a positive outcome. For example, if you say to a child “don´t put the cup on the floor”, the chances are the child will be more rebellious and will put or even drop the cup on the floor. This is because when the words “no” and “dont” are used in the words you say, the law of attraction will respond by giving you just that! It is obedient.

So instead of saying to a child “don´t put the cup on the floor” you could say ” please could you put the cup on the table”. The words used here are giving the child more clarity about what you want to happen as opposed to what you “don´t want to happen. The outcome is more likely to be a positive one – the child is likely to place the cup on the table.

Asking your child “what would you like”, or “what do you want” is helping the child to focus on what is possible. This also helps you, the adult, to focus on more positive outcomes as opposed to the negative results and fearful outcomes that have become an automatic part of our thinking over the years.

So the Law of Attraction works in your life whether or are aware of it or not. You may as well focus on what you want or what you would like to see happen and as energy follows thought, the outcomes will match your thinking.

Applying this method of thought with children can be an enriching experience for you as well as the child as long as you keep persisting with it and making it a habit.

Is the Law of Attraction just a fad? April 17, 2008

The subject of the Law of Attraction has shot to popularity overnight after the release of The Secret Movie and Oprah endorsing the theme on American TV to millions of people.

Is Law of Attraction just another fad that is the flavour of the moment right now?

Many people have tried applying the Law after seeing the movie The Secret and are so excited by the idea. Many have realised that putting the Law into effect to get results they hoped for has not worked. People have felt disillusioned with the whole theme and put it down to great marketing and a few the top teachers in the arena have walked away with their pockets full of cash.

From my own point of view, I have studied this theme for many years and the whole idea of how energy flows through using thoughts and intention. I know for a fact that Quantum Physics has proved the power of attention and thought mixed with emotion. There is scientific evidence that we do affect our lives energetically. Clear thought and getting in touch with feelings are the keys to the process.

I have studied martial arts such as Chi Kung and this whole exercise method is based on channelling energy to heal and remove blocks within the body. This is a system over 3000 years old and many quantum physicists are discovering the power of thought through experimentation and realise that methods such as Chi Kung works at a quantum level. Wiliam Tiller, the quantum physicist the from the movie “What the Bleep do we know”, is one such advocate of this energy system.

What am I saying then?

Well, Law of Attraction does work and we need to place close attention when we start bringing into our lives new desires the feelings, resistance, mental blocks and energetic blocks that show up which is a natural part of the process.

Most people start enthusiastically then give up because many are not aware that the sub concious holds old beliefs that keeps a person in check and so he or she is unable to break out of the self imposed limitations the mind has created over the years.

I have attached this 4 minute You Tube clip of Bob Doyle, a Law of Attraction teacher, who puts this theme so well. Perhaps it will give you a new aspect that the Law of Attraction is for real, it works and it is down to each of us to work the system at a deeper level beyond that which was explained on “The Secret” movie.

Law of Attraction and Power Questions April 14, 2008

The Law of attraction is a law that is obedient to your every word, feeling and thought. Asking powerful questions elicits some powerful answers which can manifest into powerful results!

Whether you know about it or not everyone, including you is asking  questions all day long such as “which clothes shall I wear today” , “I wonder what will happen at the office today”. “what shall I have for lunch” and so on. We may not ask questions consciously,  however,  we are talking to ourselves at a sub concious level and most of the questions are unsupportive to us.

You may hear someone say “Why do I always lose out at the last moment?” or “why does this always happen to me?”. The Law of Attraction will do its obedient job to access the memories in your sub concious mind and deliver back a perfect answer based on the questions you asked. It does not care  if you are happy  or suffering  – it matches your energy with a like  energy.

Knowing this puts you in a head start over most people. This insight delivers to you a powerful possibility – the possiblity that if you ask quality questions you will get back quality answers.

Here are some questions to consider even if your situation is defined by you as “bad”…

What is good about this?

What is right about this?

How can I turn this around and make this a success?

What can I learn from this that can take me to a new level?

What can I be grateful for even though this may not be to my liking?

What can I do to make this almost perfect?

If I just pretended I had a solution or answer to this, what would it be and what action could I take?

These are just some of the questions that I work with on a daily basis. I suggest you discover some of your own power questions and by practising this process daily,  see how life starts supporting you in new and exciting ways.

What one great question do you have to start this process off?

Perception attracts your reality April 11, 2008

Once we really understand the power of perception our lives take on a new meaning and self empowerment.

Life attracts back to us what we are thinking and perceiving in every moment. So if I am fearful that money will not come to me, it won´t. However, if I experience abundance with what I do have such as being grateful and having the money to pay the phone bill to access the internet and post this article – even though I may not have much money but have a perception of abundance, I can be sure more abundance will show up for me.

So when life is not working for me, rather than change my job, my partner or where I live, I first look at how I can change my perception of these life circumstances and so start the process of dreaming a new dream. The law of attraction assists me in this new dream creation as it responds to how I think and how I percieve in any given moment. I therefore move away from a kind of victim thinking to a more self empowered way of creating a new dream.

There is an old story about a traveller who meets another traveller on the road comming from the other direction. The first guy says ” I am headed for the town you just came from. Tell me, what is it like? Are the people good, honest and trustworthy?” The second traveller says, “Well, what was everyone like in the town you just left?” The first traveller says, “Oh they were terrible! I was robbed, denied lodgings, and overcharged for food. There isn´t a decent person in that town.” The second traveller says, “Well, then, that is exactly what you will find in the town you are headed toward”.

What the second traveller sees which the first traveller does not, is that wherever you go and how you perceive the world is what you will get. Your perception attracts your reality.

Using Power words with Law of Attraction April 5, 2008

Power words can be a short and very efficient method of getting to the essence of your goal or intention. Words act as a kind of mantra or reminder to keep you in track of where you want to go.

The Law of Attraction responds to how you feel on an emotional level. The use of words has a direct effect on how you feel. Consider the following words.. difficult, heavy, depressed, trying, complicated.

What feelings or pictures come up for you when you say these words? in nearly every case the feelings are of contraction, closing up perhaps a sense of dark or heavy colours.

Now say the words excited, confident, alive, moving forward, Yes! All these words have a sense of being open. The body´s chemical reaction to these words and emotions they promote are so different.

If you are working on an intention think or even better feel out the word or words that best summarise your goal.

For example my intention is to… create an international on line coaching business. Words that get evoked when I think of the intention are excitement, breakthrough and passion. So what I do is remind myself daily to say the words such as “Breakthrough” or at least have a post it note up by my PC with these power words. In other words I imagine the goal done and I am feeling these feelings. The power words remind me as to what I am achieving on an inner level as I move towards my goal.

Words have more power than we can ever realise so be careful on what you say and more importantly how you say the words.

Law of Attraction and non action April 2, 2008

Many people who study the law of attraction and its mechanics end up either taking action or no action at all.

As Einstein once said “Nothing happens until something moves”. In other words the element of action is the bridge between the visible and the invisible.

However, to take action just for the sake of making things happen can end up being an exercise of running down the incorrect path and one can end up tired and exhausted as a result.

The terms I use is that action is like the content and the intention is like the context or structure before action happens. In other words to make the Law of Attraction work in more effortless ways, the context has to feel right.

If you have set the correct context around your intention, you can see it clearly, you have positive feelings and a sense of excitement about the intention then the first job is to build this very clearly in the mind before action – the content – kicks in.

To quote a John Schaar – futurist..

The future is not a result of choices among alternative paths offered by the present, but a place that is created–created first in the mind and will, created next in activity. The future is not some place we are going to, but one we are creating. The paths are not to be found, but made, and the activity of making them, changes both the maker and the destination.

So although many Law of Attraction teachers and personal development gurus press home the importance of taking massive action,  the right context has to be set up for the action to be more of a flow rather than a having to do it attitude.

Law of attraction and non action points to setting up in the mind and feelings first the clear intention so that action follows naturally.
