Law of attraction and heart thinking February 28, 2008

The Law of Attraction can be powerfully switched on when we come from a space of the heart. It is at the heart level where the emotional energy resides and this is the currency needed to get the Law working for us in powerful and direct ways.

I am not a bible person, however, I do like this quote from Proverbs 23:7..

“For as a man thinks in his heart, so he is”.

The above statement is not about thinking only from the brain, the key is that the heart is the thinking space that gets aligned with spirit or source energy.

I recently posted an article on what the Heart Math Institute are doing with their studies into heart coherence and it has been revealed that the heart is thousands of more times more powerful energetically than the brain. The heart is the doorway to intuition and it has its own autonomous brain. The link above takes you to an excellent document about the role of the heart.

You have heard people say “he seems disheartened about X” or “she is really putting her heart into her job”. In a split second we have an image in our minds when we refer to the heart in such descriptive ways.

So when setting a desire, set an intention and then bring it down to the heart and tune in to how the desire feels. If it feels good and exciting then your heart is there with it. If it feels blocked or heavy then a change in desire is needed or a reframe of that intention is needed.

If your brain sets an intention and it does not have the buy in of the heart, you can be sure that success will be limited or you will sabotage the process.

The trick is to get the brain and heart to work together when setting desires. Doing so will bring to you a more coherent and authentic manifestation.

Law of attraction and heart thinking is key for a higher energy and higher thinking life.

Needs versus desires February 27, 2008

When we come from a space of needing a certain thing the emotional implication of this tends to push that which we want away from us or at least sets up struggle in our need to have that thing.

For example “I really need $10,000 urgently” implies that you do not have it from a vibrational point of view. Although physically you do not have the $10,000, you have also set up the vibrational language that you don´t have it and so the Law of Attraction matches the vibrational language you put out and gives you more stuff to struggle with.

However, when I say “I desire $10,000 and I know and feel It is on its way” this sets up a vibrational match and the Law of Attraction will begin to match that vibration over time by delivering people, events and information in line with how I am feeling about that which I desire.

Feeling is the currency that switches on the vibration. This is a very important and fundamental requirement if you want to start attracting things in a more concious way. We attract things anyway whether we like it or not because we are in every moment sending out a feeling or vibration about that which we like, not like, want or not want.

So chosing words like “I desire..” along with really feeling the desire goes along way to helping you get what you want as opposed to needing which is a pushing away energy.

There are other supporting elements to this like taking action and letting go of the outcome. However, the intention and feeling has to be there in the first place before action is going to be meaningful.

So if you want to attract in a more concious way, start with “I desire…” and add feelings and positive emotions and begin to move in the direction of your dreams.

Dream the impossible February 25, 2008

Dreaming the impossible is what Martin Strel, a long distance swimmer, did when he swam the Amazon River in 66 days which was 3274 miles or 5300 kilometres.

I came across this story and I was amazed that someone would ever take on such a dangerous challenge and success in spite of having to deal with Piranha fish, crocodiles, anacondas, river sharks and the dangerous heat of the sun.

Martin Strel is a man from Slovenia and he did this swim to highlight to the world the need to save the forests, maintain clean water and for more peace in the world. I have not read his book, however, the reviews on amazon.com show this story to be truly inspirational. I checked out Strel´s web site and the videos are amazing. It makes me think that I have not dreamed big enough!

Doing the impossible is something nearly all of us can do if we have the vision, commitment, the support and the willingness to transcend our life if it means that. This is exactly what Mr Strel did – he was close to death when he finished the swim, however, he made it through.

The attached video shows an interview after he did the swim and he points to his head in terms of where the answers and dreams are born. He set his goal, he believed in it and he took massive action. The keys for manifestation and attracting the dreams you really want.

In one of his articles he is quoted as saying..

“Do not have fears in front of something that you do not know if you can pass, just set it up in a right and proper way, never give up and some day your dreams will come true”

Don´t believe everything you think February 23, 2008

On an average day we experience about 60,000 thoughts of which most of these thoughts are repetition thoughts of the days before and over 80% of these thoughts tend to be negative.

The issue for most of us is that we take advise from these thoughts and this can be a dangerous thing if we believe everything our mind sends our way. I recall a Buddhist monk giving a talk about this and he commented “never believe your thoughts”. He would suggest observation and being mindful of what you are thinking and really getting behind these thoughts.

For example, I recall giving a workshop to a group and a couple of the students did not partake in an excercise I asked the group to complete. I then made the assumption in my head that they were either bored or were judging me in some negative way. After the workshop these two people came up to me and sincerely thanked me for an excellent and eye opening course!

I made an assumption and that assumption got my thinking going down a negative path which I bought into. This happens to most of us every day and we have to really be aware to not to assume things, take things on face value,  question if necessary and do not take things personally.

This is not to say all thoughts are a threat. Thoughts are powerful energy sources to create what we truly want in our lives. I am referring to the automatic thought process that randomly sends you thoughts based on judgements, assumptions and negative thinking.

Part of the attraction process of manifestation is to police these thoughts and instead choose thoughts that support your goals and dreams.

Embracing challenges around money February 21, 2008

When working with the Law of Attraction,  embracing challenges and setbacks is part of the course of going beyond the limitation and lack you may feel right now .

Alot of stuff information on the Law of Attraction is about what I called the “nice stuff” in that we create a great desire and start going for it and then heavy challenges show up and we then fall into a hole and ask “why has this happened to me”

In the past I set an intention to bring into my life a certain amount of money and within a month of setting this intention, my business suffered and my earnings plummeted. It just did not make sense as I set a sincere intention to make a large sum of money.

When the opposite of what we desire shows up we can react and think “this stuff does not work and is a waste of time”. However, I have learned the hard way with this process and I realise it is an opportunity to reframe the experience  and in a way celebrate, yes, celebrate the knock back because behind this is really where the real desire and power is waiting to deliver as long as I stay open to the perfection of it all.

This is not easy to do as the emotions around losing money for example are very powerful. However, in my experience with this I have opened to the experience, reminded myself there is a perfection in it even though I do not know exactly what it is and keep focusing on the hidden meaning behind it all.

By doing this, my emotions have calmed down, I am feeling more secure in myself and the job set back has re directed my in new and exciting directions. In addition to that a sum of money is coming my way that I did not expect which helps me to  buy time to help me step up into a greater expression of who I am and what I am supposed to be doing.

All this started from wanting more money and really my intuition has set me off on a new path. By asking for support and opening to the attitude of embracing the perfection in it all I have come through this process better for it.

Getting rich the creative way February 19, 2008

The creative mindset as opposed to the competitive mindset to getting rich ensures a more holistic, sustained and supportive way towards riches and success.

What do I mean by the creative way?

The creative way is about getting back to your thoughts and selecting thoughts and images that support you in getting what you want. When you have thoughts of competition this can imply struggle to beat the other to the line. Although it can work for many, there is a cost attached to it.

I believe we are in a time where thinking creatively, being service orientated, using imagination to support our dreams, seeing our competitors as our partners and collaborators helps to support a more abundant mindset. The road towards riches and success is a more graceful one as opposed to struggling to win over the others.

To quote Wallace Wattles in the Science of Getting Rich which is now a classic book on the subject of getting rich..

“On the competitive plane, the stuggle to get rich is a Godless scramble for power over others, but when we come into the creative mind, all this is changed” He goes on to say..

“You can serve God and humanity in no more effective way  than by getting rich; that is, if you get rich by the creative method and not by the competitive one”

The flavour of the day in terms of getting rich and successful is about taking on an attitude of openness, creativity and seeing the world on your side and putting aside thoughts of competition to beat the other. Our biggest competitor is really ourselves and the idea I propose is to aim towards  being the best you can be in every way, serve and help those to get successful, go the extra mile and you will, in turn, attract the success you want in a more graceful manner.

Meditation helps to raise vibrations February 16, 2008

Moving towards your dreams at times can be met with a lot of adversity and set backs and although the law of attraction is a potent method to get what you want there are times when it does not seem to be working.

I have found taking time out through meditation has really helped me lift the fog of my mental unrest and so I feel lighter to return to what I set out to do. If I don´t break away from my routine I stay in a low vibrational frequency and so the law of attraction cannot get through to me to help me move onwards.

Meditation can mean different things to different people. Walking on the beach, playing with a pet, painting or even driving are forms of getting the mind off concerns and worries. If any activity helps you to raise your vibration towards feeling good then you are on track to making your dreams and plans come into reality.

I have studied and practised meditation for many years and I am convinced that the heart is the enabler for healing and raising the vibration of your body, mind and spirit.

To help raise your vibrations you could give this simple mediation a go for say 15 minutes and do it when you feel ill at ease or blocked in some way. Once is never going to be enough – consistency is power..

1. Get relaxed. Perhaps play soothing music. Relax the body and completely let go.

2. Recognise the stressful feeling or issue in the mind.

3. Make a sincere effort to move away from the unsettled mind and feel as if you are at the heart area and breathing through the heart. Do this for about 15 seconds or so.

4. Recall a situation where you felt appreciation, gratitude and love. Feel as if that experience it is with you again. You are living it now. Continue to breathe through the heart area.

5. After some minutes, make a sincere request to your heart and ask what is the best way to handle the situation you face.

6. Listen to what the response to your question may be . If there is no answer, just breathe in love and appreciation and stay focused on these feel good vibrations.

The above is a simple routine and like all things it has to be practised. By generating positive feelings through the heart, in time you will feel a release from the pain, stress and anxiety.

Intuition and attraction February 15, 2008

Working with the Law of Attraction is powerful when tuning into the intuitive levels of awareness.

The word Intuition can be reframed to “tuition from within”. Think of it as your advisor who can see the full movie while your concious mind can only see one frame at time. Having this wider vision can really help you stick with working with attraction principles when things don´t seem to be showing up when you expected them.

For me the Law of Attraction is a law based on natural laws and hence it has its roots in something spiritual. Intuition is that aspect of our beings connected to that spiritual plane and it is not based on the things you know or have experienced in life.

Intuition can deliver information and experiences beyond the mindset as long as we are willing to be open and postpone doubt long enough for Intuition to kick in. In other words we have to allow space for it to communicate with us.

Intuition is a feeling or a rightness when we think of something we want to make happen. Also intuition can also warn us if we are not on the right path. I learned this lesson when I raced into an investment opportunity and ignored that feeling of discomfort in my gut area that said to me “step back and take another look before you go for it”. My ego mind at the time had the run of things and now I realise that I omitted a vital part of who I am in the process.

I guess my investment choice was a lesson to really work with my intuition in the future – which I am now doing more of these days.

Working with intuition is like training a muscle in the body and it takes time to know where it resides in your body and how it best communicates with you. When I work with clients I suggest they ask themselves where intuition is located – its usually in the heart or gut area and then I ask a client to set up a process of dialogue with intuition and listen out for body sensations and knowings that may surface in times of quietness.

Everyone has a different experience of intuition. By recognising that Intuition is there to guide you and help you and by giving it some airspace then manifesting miracles can become an everyday reality – if one is committed to the process.

Law of Attraction and laughter February 13, 2008

Laughter is a powerful tonic and a real enabler for raising your energy levels and in that process the manifestation process of attraction becomes easier and more graceful.

I wrote about laughter in a previous article, however, I want to revisit this powerful resources we each have – the ability to raise a smile or simply laugh no matter what is happening around us.

Laughter affects positively the resonance of the heart, the releasing of “happy” chemicals in the brain and so opens up our energy centers to new information and new perceptions.

The brain does not know the difference between what is real or what is imagined so if we “fake it till we make it”, the brain responds and will release the positive chemicals when we raise a laugh or a smile.

You can have the most adverse conditions happening for you, however, one things that the conditions around you cannot do is control how you move the muscles around your mouth. OK, it may be difficult to raise a laugh when everything is going against you, however, if you smile or laugh anyway you will begin to start feeling better and in that process the law of attraction will respond to your vibration by adding more of the same.

I have attached a very funny video of John Cleese of Monty Python fame, who went to India to check out a center were laughing therapy is provided. The video shows people in prison partaking in a laughing session. The video is very funny and just by watching it you will find it hard not to join in with the laughter.

Law of Attraction is a constant on switch February 12, 2008

There is no off switch with the Law of Attraction which means you are attracting minute by minute and many people are not aware of this subtle Law.

We live in a universe of vibration. Our thoughts, emotions and actions have a vibration associtaed with them. The Law of Attraction does not care what language you speak or where you live, it responds obediently to your vibration.

If you choose to think negative thoughts and entertain fear and doubt, the the Law is obedient and sends you more of the same. Some people start the day off in a bad mood, for example, the journey to work is hampered by bad weather and slow traffic, the meeting with a new client has been cancelled and the day goes more or less along these lines and if one is entertaining a bad mood the day ends up as an emotional mess.

Somehow, when we are in good spirits and feeling good, things move in the opposite  direction. There may be obstacles and setbacks, however, these are greeted with a smile or an attitude of openness.

The Law of Attraction is a constant on switch and it “listens” to how you are vibrating or resonating and works with you based on what you are sending out in terms of energy.

Once a person really gets this, a whole new perception arises in that each of us is responsible for what shows up in our lives and in that moment if we are having a hard time of it we realise we can change the way we feel and see the world knowing that the ever constant “on switch” is working with us in an obedient manner.
